Gifted & Honors Space Academy

Our Space Academy is a specialized honors and gifted program launching for the 2026–2027 school year. This academy is designed for students who demonstrate strong academic performance, curiosity, creativity, and a passion for exploration.

Please complete this application carefully. Responses will help our review committee learn more about your child’s interests, strengths, and readiness for the program.  Initial acceptance to the academy will be sent on or before May 20, 2026.

Paper applications are available at our district office, middle school office, and elementary school offices.

Academic Achievement

  • Minimum of Level 3 or higher on FAST ELA and Mathematics assessments, or a comparable qualifying score on a local or nationally recognized benchmark assessment,
  • Consistent honor roll performance in core subjects
  • Identified as Gifted under Florida’s eligibility criteria

Recommendations and Character

  • Submission of three recommendations from a teacher, coach, administrator, or community leader
  • Recommendations should highlight the student’s curiosity, responsibility, teamwork, and commitment to learning
  • Demonstrates good character, citizenship, positive behavior, and a strong attendance record
